This year’s International Mr. Leather promises to be more dynamic than ever as IML 2010 A LEATHER ODYSSEY has partnered with DominicFord to create a one of a kind 3D experience for this year’s event taking place at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Chicago MAY 28th -31st.

This year’s contest will start off with a short 3D Movie intro filmed especially for IML by DominicFord.  Audience members will be able to view the 3D intro with special 3D glasses co-branded by both IML and DominicFord.  Continuing the 3D theme the audience will also receive 3D buttons to wear which will create a stunning effect.  There will be collectible mini poster of the event that will also be in 3D and will be given away to all package holders.

RJ Chaffin at IML says “We are excited to be doing something at this year’s IML that is visually extra special and unique. With 3D being on everyone’s lips these days it made perfect  sense for us to work  with DominicFord to create a 3D intro that will welcome the audience to the show in a more personal and  memorable way… in 3D”

3D is sweeping into every facet of popular culture and  DominicFord has literally taken the ball and ran with it in the adult space.  This is evident by their popular membership site DominicFord.com showing no signs of slowing down and their hit DVD line out in the marketplace.  This current collaboration with IML 2010 will see them bring their 3D experience to a live audience for the first time in such a setting.  During the weekend, DominicFord will also be recording interviews with select IML luminaries in 3D for future viewing.

DominicFord will have an eye popping presence at this year’s IML as well.  Everyone visiting The Leather Market can experience GIANT movie -sized 3D Porn at Dominic Ford’s HUGE booth, that includes a GIANT Movie Screen playing their innovative hit adult film “Whorrey Potter and the Sorcerers Balls” and other of its successful 3D movies that have taken gay porn into a new dimension.

About 400 gay leathermen gathered in Chicago in 1979 for the first International Mr. Leather contest.  Today, the event has grown to be an annual tradition for the leather community – drawing contestants and attendees from around the globe.  Once an event for “hardcore” leathermen, IML has expanded in recent years to include a more diverse crowd – from the experienced to the curious.  Last year’s event drew more than 15,000 leathermen and leatherwomen from around the globe.
