FlavaWorks has announced nominations are now open for the Second Annual Blatino Awards. These awards honor gay ethnic porn stars, ethnic clubs and websites in a variety of categories and will be administered by Flava Works.
“This year we’ve expanded the award show, adding more categories, hosting at a larger venue and bringing in another celebrity host,” says Warren Bullock, operations manager of Flava Works. “Last year was our first show, so we learned a lot and this year we plan to upgrade and make it even bigger and better.”
Some of the new categories added include: best personals website, best non-porn blog, best exotic dancer, best sex siren and others.
Also, the celebrity to host the awards will be chosen by the voters at BlatinoAwards.com
Nominations close May 31, while the voting process will last June 15 until August 15. The Blatino Awards will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, during Atlanta Gay Black Pride on September 4.
About The Blatino Awards
The FlavaMen Blatino Awards were launched in 2009 by FlavaMen, a gay erotic magazine devoted to black and Latino men and published by Flava Works. The intention behind the new awards was to create an alternative to other awards of the gay adult industry , such as the GayVN Awards, in which men of color play only a marginal role. The winners of the awards are determined through an Internet voting process in two stages: nomination and final vote.
