Phillip Ashton

Please stay posted for a story on Phillip Ashton which will be published in the next few days. I have always wanted to do an interview with Phillip because I am a great fan of his work but more importantly, I admire his professionalism and drive. In an industry that readily falls into stereotypes Phillip Ashton has defied the odds and experts to remain in the industry for seven years, a great achievement in anyone’s books.
I always ask the questions randomly because I think it allows the interviewee to address each question and not be lulled into a rhythm. Anyway enjoy this entertaining insight into a great performer.
An Interview with Phillip Ashton
Q. In 2003 you appeared as Sky, when did you start going under the name Phillip Ashton?
A. I had no idea to be honest why they put sky as my name? I wrote on the model forum my name was Phillip Ashton so that was very weird on why they called me Sky.
Q. How did the name Phillip Ashton come about?
A The name came from me and a friend, I loved the name Ashton and then we threw out some random names as well then the photographer said Phillip and I was like DONE! Ever since then I have been Phillip Ashton and I like it a lot.
Q..In an interview with Hot Foot in 2009 you commented that were going to be a bottom for the first time. You did so because companies didn’t see you as a top because of your build, but since then have managed to remain one to the twink world’s power tops. How have you managed to overcome that stereotyping.?
A.. I have been a power top in the twink world cause I won’t lie I am very good at what I do, I still get the stereotype that I’m a big bottom and just waiting to be a gangbang bottom which isn’t true. I have bottomed though on film at least 5 times I believe and I didn’t like it but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to make that money and a hot scene.
Q You have remained a vocal and at times lone voice on the discrimination against twinks. Do you think it worked against you at various times or actually assisted you?
A I don’t think it has gone against me at all, I think its more the age thing with twinks who are 25 like myself and look 19. I don’t get that and it pisses me off that cause I’m 25 theres a problem? If I’m a good performer then it should not matter what my age is.
Q You have been in the industry for seven years now, a great achievement. Do you actually ever really pat yourself on the back for that effort.
A I look back and I am amazed Im still in the industry and have a level head and not dropped out like other or on drugs or burned bridges with companies. No I haven’t ever pat myself on the back for still being in the industry I should though.
Q What is the difference between Phillip Ashton then and now?
A I have grown from then, if it wasn’t for my certain group of friends that love me I think I would be like some of these messy stars but thank god my friends snatched me up and taught me cause before I was young and didn’t give a fuck about testing and what to watch out for and all. But I am not very well up to date and taken care of cause of not only myself but others I listen to in the industry.
Q You did a photoset and scene for Alexboys, but as Chad. Why was that?
A.You know this goes with the same thing with Sky, I never said my name was Chad do I even look like a Chad? I think the company sold the pictures and the company put a different name on them and when I seen that I was like WTF? I don’t get it but it is what it is you just have to be happy your work is being put up and people are seeing it.
Q Are then many performers still in the game that started as twinks when you did?
A To be honest I dont think there is anyone still left from when I started there might be 2 but I haven’t seen anything from them in a while. Its tough to be honest with the drugs that are in this industry people go into a hole with that and they dont come back and thats the sad thing.
Q..We are now late in 2010, what are the immediate plans for Phillip Ashton
A I wanna continue to direct and produce and then one day I hope to open my own company kinda like a RandyBlue SeanCody CorbinFisher ActiveDuty mix, I think that would be just delicious!
Q You have done a fair bit of work behind the camera lately, would you like to continue to do so.
A OMG yes I am learning so much and I actually love it a lot! Something so different and I honestly I love it a lot and I think its easier for models cause I’m not some like old guy trying to hook up with them. I won’t say studios but there are some that are just wrong like that and will do shit like that and that makes me sick to my stomach that people can’t be professional.
Q Have you ever thought of starting your own site up?
A Oh god yes I have been wanting this for a very long time, someone who I thought was a friend and worked for an all I thought was gonna turn my blog into that but of course that never happened so I am waiting for now but am told I should start it soon.
Q Are you a romantic at heart?
A LOL I actually am… When Im with someone I am very romantic but I can also be a wild lets get to it kinda guy as well, but I love being romantic and having hot loving making sex lol
Q What would be your perfect date?
A going to a dinner in St Tropez and having a dinner in the middle of the pool on a see though stage and hearing the waves crash up on the beach, seeing the sky clear and all the stars and then my beautiful bf or date looking into his eyes and just having a casual talk about anything that comes to mind.
Q How hard has it been juggling your professional and personal life?
A I honestly dont mix the 2 together at all business is business and personal is personal can’t mix the 2 or there is major drama or complication and i dont like that a all lol not my thing at all.
Q Has there ever been a question that you would have liked an interviewer to ask and if so what is it?
A This is actually a good question… I don’t think there is a question but you know what there is 1 question that would be very interesting and I don’t think the answer would be a quick one it would be like a blog post. The question is “How do you feel about the dont ask dont tell and putting poz models with neg models, should the neg models have a right to know what the status of the other model is?” Pretty much it would be about testing and the don’t ask dont tell policy there doing for porn now.

An Interview With Jackson Miller
July 15th, 2010 by aussieboy63
Q Are you originally from Arizona, or did you move there?
A I’m born and raised in Wisconsin, and I’ve lived there my whole life. I moved to Connecticut for a summer job, but after that I’ll be back in the Midwest to finish school. I love Wisconsin, the people there are real, theres not much drama, and there’s a good mix of big cities like Milwaukee and Chicago close by with a great nightlife, but also more of the outdoorsy stuff, like camping and fishing. I grew up in a city with a gorgeous beach on Lake Michigan, so I go there a lot in the summer as well to play in the sand and check out the cute guys J
Q How did the name Jackson Miller come about?
A After agreeing to film for Boycrush, I needed to come up with a name. Two of my good friends and I went to IHOP at midnight to discuss possibilities. I don’t remember exactly how the discussion went, but I know that eventually the two girls I was with decided it should be Jackson Miller. Pretty sure it was after 3 coffees and a bacon and egg cheeseburger.
Q In the Interview with Bryan everyone gets asked about why doing porn, everyone says just something that always wanted to do. But what was the moment that you even considered looking into doing it.
A This is actually a funny story. The moment I considered it was when, out of the blue, I got a phone call from Bryan. It turns out that after a conversation with my boyfriend about money, he thought it would be funny to submit an application to Boycrush (his favorite site) for me just to see if I’d be accepted. I had no idea he did that until Bryan called me asking when I could fly out. It took me about a week to decide I wanted to do it, and I’m glad I did!
Q What were you thinking when you went into the interview room for the first time to do the solo and then your first hard-core scene
A I’ve always loved being naked and flirty, so I mostly was excited for the opportunity to do it in front of the cameras. I was a little nervous for the interview, but only for answering questions (I really don’t like the sound of my voice on tape). Once I got to the hard-core scenes, the cameras disappeared and I was totally into the sex, which I hope the fans can pick up on.
Q It is now over 2 years since making your debut, how much do you think that you have changed from the person who did that first interview? And in what ways?
A I’ve become a lot more confident. It may be hard to believe, but I used to have a hard time with body image. I always thought I was too skinny, too short, etc. Filming for Boycrush and reading reviews from the fans in the forum has really boosted my self-confidence and helped me do great things in other areas of my life. I really do owe a lot to the Boycrush fans!
Q Your first scene after your interview was a double solo with Gabe Jackson. Why was that?
A Gabe Crawford, but yeah. This was a really interesting scene to do. It was a Boycrush first, and I really didn’t know what to expect. We were told we were going to jack off together, and not have sex, but, obviously, I couldn’t keep my hands off of him, haha. Filming that totally took me back to high school, when you would be hanging out with a new boyfriend who you hadn’t fooled around with yet or watching porn with a “straight” friend, and you would slowly get into each other and whatever happened, happened.
Q What do you like the most about yourself?
A I like that I’m modest, haha. In all honesty, I’m a very well-rounded guy with interests in a lot of different things. I like that people like me, not just because of my body, but because I’m an interesting person who goes out of his way to make people feel good.
Q If someone was to take you out to dinner, what would be your perfect night?
A My perfect dinner would be an expensive French restaurant with great wine and even better bread. There has to be great conversation, otherwise I totally tune out. After dinner, he would take me back to his place, and we would curl up on the couch and watch a movie until we fell asleep or moved on to other things.
Q What is a good day for you?
A A good day would be one where I feel I’ve accomplished something. I can’t stand to just lie around all day relaxing, I need to be constantly on the move. If I’ve done something to improve myself, then it’s a good day.
Q You seem to have remained a very private person compared to most in the industry. Is that a deliberate thing on your part?
A After I filmed for Boycrush, I got into a serious relationship that lasted two years. I never film when I’m in a relationship, so I lost touch with Bryan and the rest of the industry. Once the relationship ended, I reconnected with Bryan and filmed again. Porn for me is not a career, it’s just a hobby, but one that I really enjoy!
Q When you are not at Boyrcush and Jackson Miller, what do you do with the other part of your life?
A Oh where do I start? I’m a full time student working on my second bachelor’s degree. During the school year I work four jobs, and still find time to train for marathons (third one will be Chicago this fall). Currently, I’m working in Connecticut for the summer developing next generation gene sequencing technology, pretty much something straight out of Gattica if you’ve ever seen the movie.
Q. Is Lucky perfume still your favorite fragrance
A. Lucky still drives me wild. The first guy I ever fooled around with was wearing it, and he was HOT. I can catch the smell from a block away, which at times has gotten me in trouble, like when an attractive co-worker was wearing it on my first day at work. Pretty sure I followed him around all day
Q In the interview with Bryan you said that at 19 you were most proud of the fact that go-to guy for friends. Is that still the case
A I’m always the “mom” at parties. I do have a lot of fun, but I like to take care of people, especially when they’re a bit too drunk, and begin yelling in foreign languages and throwing cigars at moving vehicles (Shout out to Tom!)
Q In the interview with Bryan you said that you were Bi. Is that still the case
A Yes, I am proudly bisexual. A lot of people in the gay community don’t accept that, but I am sexually attracted to people regardless of their gender. I’m not going to go too deeply into it, but I feel the gay movement needs to begin to embrace bisexuals for who they are, and not push us away because “we’re not gay enough.”
Q In the interview when talking about what you liked about a man you said you were a sucker for steel-grey eyes. Do the eyes still do it for you or have you changed preferences
A The eyes will ALWAYS have it for me. light blue, blue/grey eyes are absolutely gorgeous and I am immediately attracted to people with them
Q You came to Boycrush as a top, but the last scene with Patrick you bottomed also. Is that a change or just the way the scene went.
AYou haven’t seen the end of my performances as a powerful top, but I’ve been trying some new things as well. Patrick is a great performer, and I was happy I got to work with him again. More to come hopefully……….

An Interview With Ashton Michaels
July 13th, 2010 by aussieboy63
Q Tell me about yourself
A My name is Ashton Michaels and I am an adult performer currently filming with Helix Studios. I am 18 and I’m not the typical model. Usually when people think of a twink (especially one in porn) they think ‘pretty but dumb’. I may be pretty but I am definitely not dumb. Lol. I have goals for myself and hopes for the future, which is more than I can say for some other models that think they can spend their entire lives as a porn model.
Q How did the name Ashton Michaels come about?
A Well I originally wanted my porn name to be “Michael Mallory” because of a teacher at my school named Mr. Mallory. He was pretty hot. Lol. On the set of my second scene I met Tommy Anders and we talked a bit and he asked what my porn name was, I said “Michael Mallory” and I could just tell by the look on his face that he didn’t like it very much. I decided at that moment I was changing it. I wanted to keep “Michael” in it because they said my name in a few scenes and I chose “Ashton” from “Ashton Moore” because she is pretty hot. Lol.
Q Everyone gets asked about why they started doing porn, and they all say just something that always wanted to do. But what was the moment that you even considered looking into doing it.
A I think I’ve always been a sexual person, but I hadn’t considered porn until 9th grade. My friend showed me a picture of her sister, it was porn star Jenna Presley. http://i44.tinypic.com/j0h6iw.jpg I was like WOW! She is gorgeous. I thought to myself ‘If she could make money by showing off her body and being beautiful, why can’t I?’ Since then, porn has always been in the back of my mind as a career option.
Q Being signed as an exclusive for Helix was something special. Is there a point where Helix lose that exclusivity and you can perform for other studios
A My exclusivity was more of a verbal contract. I work when I want and every couple of scenes we will see where I stand and determine if I’m filming more or less or even staying with Helix Studios.
Q Did you come to Helix as an exclusive or did that occur later?
A I was offered to be an exclusive numerous times after filming my first few scenes. I politely declined a contract because I didn’t want to be restricted in my work, so Keith Miller and I had more of a verbal contract about my exclusivity.
Q What were you thinking when you went into do that first hard-core scene
A I wasn’t completely nervous, only a little bit. Especially since my first scene was going to be with Michael Lee and I heard about how he was straight and had a huge cock. Lol. It was a very nice environment. Nick Angels was the camera guy and he kept Michael Lee and I both laughing and Michael Lee turned out to be very nice and extremely professional. It was an enjoyable first time.
Q It is almost a year since making your debut, how much do you think that you have changed from the person who did that first scene? And in what ways?
A I was barely 18 when I first filmed. I was still a little boy in my mind and in my heart. I thought “Move over Tommy Anders because I am here and am going to take over!” Now I am a bit more grounded. I came into porn thinking it was easy and as soon as I made money I spent it on silly things. I think I’m a lot more mature now; I made friends, had some great times on set and have also had my bad times too. Overall I think I’m better as a person now. J
Q What do you like the most about yourself?
A I like that I’m a normal, real, down to earth guy. I’m not cocky, I don’t think I’m god’s gift to the world, I’m just a regular guy that has sex on film. It’s not that easy to find real people in this industry.
Q If someone was to take you out to dinner, what would be your perfect night?
A You don’t have to spend a lot of money to impress me. My favorite places to be taken out to dinner are Red Lobster and Olive Garden.
Q What is a good day for you?
A Whenever I accomplish something I think it’s a good day. If I ace a test, increase my swimming time, finish a homework assignment. Lol. It might sound nerdy but I like to be optimistic in life. J
Q Away from performing you have been busy on Youtube. Is that a deliberate approach by you to let your fans see the man behind the performer?
A My YouTube videos started out as a joke but then I became a little popular on there and I started rapping and answering questions and I guess people liked it.
Q You seem to have been a very aggressive self marketer. Is that a deliberate thing on your part? Why?
A “Ashton Michaels” is my character so why not help promote myself.
Q When you are not at Helix and Ashton Michaels, what do you do with the other part of your life?
A I go to school. I’m looking for a separate part-time job so I can get the whole normal college student experience. I don’t live with my parents anymore and I don’t want to rely solely on porn. I’m just a normal teenager. I hang out with friends, go shopping, and love going to the movie theatres.
Q How long would you like to stay in the industry?
A I’ll stay in it however long I’m wanted. I plan to do stuff outside of porn but if people want to see me get fucked, then I’ll keep doing it. Lol.
Q You disappeared for a while from the scene after the big fanfare but appeared to come back to the industry with a stronger and more determined approach. Would you agree and why?
A Yes, I would agree. When people think of someone going through a crazy moment in their life they think of “Pulling a Britney” but at within the Helix community it’s know as “Pulling a Tommy Anders” (no disrespect towards him). That is what I did. I told everyone I quit porn, I shaved my head, I went into seclusion. I went crazy for a while. Lol. All of the stress and pressure of being the newest hottest thing got to me and my personal wasn’t very perfect either.
Q How important is securing that other career outside of the industry?
A I think it’s very important in general to have a good career, but it’s also very important to me as an individual. Beauty fades and I want to be remembered in life as more than just a pretty face.
Q Do you worry that eventually will have to make a choice in careers or that working in porn will damage your other career prospects
A I don’t worry about it too much. You can’t always worry about consequences in my opinion.
Q While I know you have a lot of fans and more people recognise you, do you ever get lonely?
A I get plenty of attention from men but sometimes I do get lonely. I always wonder if guys are interested in me for my work, for my looks, or for my personality. Sometimes I wish I could just find ‘Mr. Right’ get married and live happily ever after in my dream house.
Q Are you a naturally romantic person?
A Romantic? I don’t know. I’m naturally cute and sexual, but when it comes to romance, I don’t usually try to do anything special. When I’m with a guy I like everything just comes out naturally; the cuddling, the holding, the kissing. Romance shouldn’t be forced.

An Interview with Hayden Chandler
June 29th, 2010 by aussieboy63
Q Your model name Hayden Chandler, was that your idea or did the Boycrush boys help you to find it?
A I came up with my stage name myself and with some help of friends. I spent a week or so on baby name websites looking up names and also looking at newer and past porn stars names to make sure I wasn’t overusing a name. I made a list of numerous names I liked and spent time putting them all together seeing which ones worked and which ones didn’t. Finally Hayden Chandler was “created”. I wonder if that’s how Hannah Montana came up with her name? haha.
Q How did you apply to be a Boycrush Model and what did you need to do?
A BoyCrush gives EVERYONE the opportunity to apply to be a model!! There is a link located right on the site that allows you to fill out an application. I filled one out and within only a couple days Bryan was in contact with me. We talked for a couple of weeks and then I was flown down for my first shoot session, where I filmed an interview, solo and 2 sex scenes.
Q What was the time gap between applying and being notified of their interest?
A VERY Slim!! I applied and then I remember a couple days later getting a “AIM” IM from Bryan letting me know that he was interested.
Q Is there a screening process before they fly you out to do scenes?
A I’m not sure how it works for other models. The only “screening” process I went through was just talking to Bryan and getting to know who each other was. Making sure I wasn’t some creepy boy vice versa.
Q When you arrived at the airport did anyone meet you and do you stay in a model house or do you stay in a motel?
A It’s usually either Bryan or Andy picking a model up from the airport. Bryan picked me up the first time. All the models stay at Bryan’s house which would be considered the Model House. There’s a room just for us!!
Q First day when you went to Boycrush studios what were you thinking at the time?
A I was feeling and thinking all sorts of things!! I was extremely nervous yet very anxious to actually get started. I just had no idea what to expect. Of course you get told what you’re going to do but until you actually do it you have no idea how it works.
Q When you entered the studios is your week planned out and a schedule set or is it very much as the week pans out?
A Making porn is a VERY time consuming thing. Bryan and Andy like to make sure everything is run smoothly and things that need to get done, actually does get done. So in order for that to happen everything needs to be scheduled out. Sometimes there is the occasion where things don’t go as planned but nine times out of ten they keep things very organized.
Q Before your interview video did the Boycrush people do anything to make you relax and prepare.
A Of course! They give you some advice and just give you a run-down of how the scene will go. I mean there really isn’t anything else they can do besides talk to you and give you pointers.
Q How do they prepare you and your scene partner for a hardcore scene? Do they allow extra time for you to get to know each other and establish some sort of comfort?
A Not always! My first scene with Ian Graves, him and I just met like 20 minutes before doing our scene. There are the times though where you do know who your scene partner is and are able to spend time with them and establish a connection.
Q What was the immediate thought in your mind when Bryan finished shooting of that first scene with Ian Graves?
A Well my nervousness was definitely gone!! haha It was very interesting to see how it was all done. I felt great about the scene and had a great time filming with Ian and Bryan and Andy definitely made things a lot more easy going! I just felt very good and excited about how it all went!
Q What was the time frame between the moment you filmed the first scene and making it on the Boycrush site.
A I would say probably about 3 weeks or so.
Q Answering these questions is there any story or detail that I may have missed that will allow me to put together a better idea for the fans of what it takes to become an Adult Entertainment Model.
A I would just say to be confident!! Do what you feel is right and don’t give up! Be careful also and use your gut instinct. It’s a lot of work but it all pays off in the end!
[Interviewer's Note :- Hayden was my first interview and the interview was designed to give people an insight into how the process of being a model occurs. As my first I was pretty awkward not knowing really what I could ask, but I have become far more comfortable and relaxed. Hopefully that shows and I hope one day to again interview Hayden and give him an interview more befitting this wonderful young man]

An interview with Miles Pride
June 27th, 2010 by aussieboy63
Q Are you originally from Arizona, or did you move there?
A I was actually born in Long Beach Ca, but moved to Arizona at a very young age.
Q How did the name Miles Pride come about?
A Haha, I’m glad you asked. Well Miles is just a name I’m fond of, but I chose the name Pride from X-Mens; Kitty Pride. Which I thought was fitting.
Q Can you elaborate more on why you thought Kitty Pryde was fitting?
A Of course, it’s nothing too exciting, I suppose I related the name pryde to having pride, and so I guess you could say what better way to show pride in youself than to being named pride.
Q In the Interview with Bryan everyone gets asked about why doing porn, everyone says just something that always wanted to do. But what was the moment that you even considered looking into doing it.
A Well for me it was something I looked into once I turned of age..but didn’t pursue until later when coincidentally the offer came to me
Q Once you decided that you wanted to do it what process did you follow to finally get to the point of being accepted and that first interview
A At first I just visited the sites I liked most, but never went through with applying. I was actually contacted through myspace by Bryan, and decided to take him up on his offer.
Q What were you thinking when you went into the interview room for the first time to do the solo and then your first hard-core scene
A Honestly? I thought “Wow, am I actually doing this?…What the hell am I doing here?”
Q It is now over a year since making your debut, do you think that you have changed much from the person who did that first interview?
A Oh mostly definitely, both personally and professionally. I think I’d be quite disapointed if I were the same person I was a year ago.
Q How do you go from hating Twilight to starring in Twinkblood?
A Let’s see, how do I explain this? For me they’re very two different things. Vampires are very popular these days, and although I’m not the biggest fan of “Twilight” it was was a lot of fun playing my part in the fanaticism.
Q What do you like the most about yourself?
A Toughy. um, next?
Q If someone was to take you out to dinner, what would be your perfect night?
A No set scenario. As long as the company is good, and it keeps me busy, I consider it an overall success.
Q What is a good day for you?
A Three things: Some time out of the house, a lot of social interaction, and Pizza. =]
Q You seem a very private person compared to most in the industry. Is that a deliberate thing on your part?
A I wouldn’t consider it deliberate, but I definitely don’t go out of my way to make myself seen.
Q When you are not at Boyrcush and Miles Pride, what do you do with the other part of your life?
A I’d like to think there’s many different sides to me off camera, so I spent a lot of time exploring those aspects of myself. I’m all about self discovery. =]
Q Is there a question that you would like someone to ask you eventually about yourself?
A Not that I can think of off hand, I basically consider myself an open book.
Q What is your favorite fruit other than a watermelon?
A I’m sure the correct answer to this is something like a banana, lol. But no, it’s Kiwi. =] (Interviewer’s note: Miles did a scene with a Watermelon on Boycrush)

An interview with
June 27th, 2010 by aussieboy63
Since starting the blogging life I have been very fortunate to interview some really great guys and put together a story on them but because the story is my impression of questions and answers I thought that maybe I would post the actual questions on the blog as well. So over the next few weeks I will be posting interviews by Miles Pride, Hayden Chandler, Chad Hollywood and Jackson Miller. I hope there are many more to come as I cheekily ask these people for their time
