Ashton Michaels

                Unless you have been asleep for the last six months you would know of the Helix juggernaut that is Ashton Michaels.   His confident approach polarizes opinions, but it would be fair to say that he is the new generation of twink models.  Beneath his beauty ticks a keen mind that is clear on where he is going in life.

                Few people would know that we should be talking about Michael Mallory, because that was to be his model name.  Of course as we know, Ashton likes hot teachers, and Mr.  Mallory was hot.  Tommy Anders’ response to the proposed name was enough for Ashton to change it.  Taking Ashton from the ever so hot Ashton Moore, Ashton Michaels was born.

                What was it about the industry that attracted him to apply to Helix when he was 18?  Ashton perhaps explains it best in his own words:-

I think I’ve always been a sexual person, but I hadn’t considered porn until 9th grade. My friend showed me a picture of her sister, it was porn star Jenna Presley. http://i44.tinypic.com/j0h6iw.jpg  I was like WOW! She is gorgeous. I thought to myself ‘If she could make money by showing off her body and being beautiful, why can’t I?’ Since then, porn has always been in the back of my mind as a career option.

Living in San Diego was a real bonus with the Helix studios based there, and obviously appealed to them and he was signed as an exclusive.  He blazed onto our computers with scenes from power tops Michael Lee and Tommy Anders and the rest is history.  How did that first scene with Michael Lee go?:-

I wasn’t completely nervous, only a little bit. Especially since my first scene was going to be with Michael Lee and I heard about how he was straight and had a huge cock. Lol. It was a very nice environment. Nick Angels was the camera guy and he kept Michael Lee and I both laughing and Michael Lee turned out to be very nice and extremely professional. It was an enjoyable first time.

                After his first few scenes Helix spoke to him about being an exclusive for the studio but not wanting to be restricted in his work Keith Miller and he came to a verbal agreement.  Even at that early stage Ashton knew in his own mind where he wanted his career to go.  Then, after hitting the scene like a bomb, he suddenly disappeared.  When I asked him why and if he came back stronger he said:-

Yes, I would agree. When people think of someone going through a crazy moment in their life they think of “Pulling a Britney” but at within the Helix community it’s know as “Pulling a Tommy Anders” (no disrespect towards him). That is what I did. I told everyone I quit porn, I shaved my head, I went into seclusion. I went crazy for a while. Lol. All of the stress and pressure of being the newest hottest thing got to me and my personal life wasn’t very perfect either.

                So with a stronger resolve he returned to our screens, and continues to be one of the stronger self-marketers in the industry.  He expanded into doing Youtube and cam shows and both are extremely popular demonstrating the public appeal he has with his fans.

                Realising that beauty fades, he is working hard off screen to build another career and is currently at College making sure that he has something to continue with.  As he puts it:-

Beauty fades and I want to be remembered in life as more than just a pretty face

His normal life away from camera is very important to him and he just likes to hang out with friends, go shopping, and going to the movies.  Normal teenage things I think we would all agree.   As far as romance goes he believes that a night with someone special should just evolve and not be forced.  He is not a very expensive date either, because his idea of a perfect night is being taken to Red Lobster or Olive Garden, his favorite places.

                The life of a model can affect people in many ways and when asked whether he has changed much from the young man who made his debut with Michael Lee, he said:-

I was barely 18 when I first filmed. I was still a little boy in my mind and in my heart. I thought “Move over Tommy Anders because I am here and am going to take over!” Now I am a bit more grounded. I came into porn thinking it was easy and as soon as I made money I spent it on silly things. I think I’m a lot more mature now; I made friends, had some great times on set and have also had my bad times too. Overall I think I’m better as a person now.

It is a life that can take you on to greater things or can eat you up and discard you in a blink of an eye, but I believe that Ashton Michaels Mark II is ready for whatever comes his way.  He has been forced to do a lot of growing up quickly and I believe he will achieve whatever he wants because he now knows who he is and what he wants to achieve.  Why, because he is so much more than just a pretty face.
