DeWayne and I went up Mt. Palomar to see the observatory and view. On the way down, we stopped by the side of the road. I snapped a series of photos and ‘stitched’ them together. The result is one huge image. A good test subject for this blog thingy.

That pic was taken just as the Laguna Fire got started, if you remember the area we drove thru was closed the next day.

Yes, I remember very well. There were several fires going on at that time. As DeWayne and I drove drove over a short causeway crossing a valley lake, a fire fighting plane flew over head and scooped up water from the lake. I had never seen that done before. It was amazing.
The smoke in the picture past Mt. Laguna (far left, i.e. South) is just one of those fires.
DeWayne added the red location indicators to the photo. I considered suggesting California had these great laser signs projecting locations, ‘in-the-air’.’
