Chill-out Moments on Ibiza
by Julian LeMont on Jun.03, 2010, under Travel
Ibiza’s ES CAVALLET Nudist Beach is the place to go for making “new friends”, seeking pleasure in the sun and finding momentary fulfillment among the shrubs near the Mediterranean Sea. No better time than in late August, when the island attracts its best party-and-pleasure crowd, the nights are long and everyone is eager to live life to the max before the end of summer. Even the stroll to the ES CAVALLET beach itself may be full of distraction, excitement and fulfillment, as infinite sandy trails in the blazing late summer sun show the way to remote corners to meet and be with others.
I had just set up base on the beach with my travel buddies, when my eyes met with a young slender but toned German guy, who had just arrived with his boyfriend. The energy was tangible, strong and noticeable to everyone around us, except his partner. Time and again we smiled at each other and watched each other walk into and out of the water, slash suntan lotion on our bodies and walk to the nearby kiosk for drinks or ice cream. We finally bumped into each other at the snack bar and started talking, intuitively knowing already we wanted to be together for more than just conversation. I then got introduced to his boyfriend, who seemed totally oblivious to the mating ritual around him, buried as he was in a book that he brought.
As the afternoon progressed, the heat became gradually less intense and the sun took on the gold-shining light typical of the late afternoon and early evening chill-out period. We then decided to meet about 200 yards above the beach – and told our companions we were out “looking for seashells”, although everyone’s laughter clearly indicated they were not that gullible to believe it, all except the oblivious boyfriend.
As soon as we met away from the beach, we were surrounded by on-lookers and admirers, who all wanted to be part of the action or at least enjoy the ensuing spectacle. Since an orgy was far from our intentions, we decided to walk as far far away from the crowded cruising area as possible, towards the gorgeous lighthouse of TORRE DE SES PORTRES with views of FORMENTERA further afield. Passing a wonderful, less crowded small bay called CALA PLUMA, we then managed to find a perfectly secluded spot, a small bay invisible to the outside world, with the late afternoon sun shining right on us.
The entire scenario, marked by a spectacular before-sunset light unparalleled anywhere, is something to recall for a lifetime – a deep blue sky, the turquoise water of the Mediterranean, two muscular young bodies in unison, water drops on tanned skin, the taste of salt water, the refreshing breeze from the sea and nothing but the sound of seagulls, waves and our mutual pleasure. No single film, image or painting could ever capture the air of ultimate erotic fulfillment experienced by us that day in the early evening sun on Ibiza.
